Event Details: Following last year's very successful Christmas Walk, in support of those in need, St. Luke's Cathedral Players and Choristers present UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, A Christmas Tree for Ukraine, on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2024 at 4 pm.As you enter through the main door, Roman soldiers, shepherds and Uncle John, the miniature donkey, will greet you before the 4pm start time. Inside, children, and adults alike, will be delighted by magical singing, dancing toys and puppets on their journey to see the Babe in the manger. The second half is the traditional manger scene with glorious music and carol singing. Over 50 people from St. Luke's and the community are taking part to make this production possible.Our talented artists from St. Luke's 2023 Christmas Walk, who created spectacular sets last year, return this year, combining to create a six foot wooden Christmas tree with 4 Christmas murals, titled A CHRISTMAS TREE FOR UKRAINE dedicated to the people of Ukraine. The murals are going to be stunning. We thank Karen Nisbet and Helen-Mary Carter for sharing their prodigious talent.Guest Artists include Bruce Douville, Piano and Laura Strum, Violin and Kathleen Trussler, Cello and St. Luke's Cathedral Frosty Chorale.The event is fully wheelchair accessible.Entry is by monetary donation to the Sault Star Santa Fund and/orcanned goods to the Soup Kitchen Food Bank.PLEASE SEE POSTER FOR MORE INFORMATION.
